The Cressi MC9-SC / Compact Pro is a cold-water regulator that is light enough to travel with. It combines a balanced diaphragm first stage with a sealed chamber (SC) and a light, compact second stage, and Cressi states it performs in water below 10 °C (50 °F).
Main features
- MC9-SC first stage: hyper-compensated diaphragm design, so intermediate pressure rises slightly as tank pressure falls and performance is at its best late in the dive (as Cressi describes it).
- Sealed chamber: environmentally sealed against icing in cold water and against particles in silty conditions.
- High-pressure seat in AISI 316 stainless steel, replaceable at service.
- Semi-flexible elastomer sheath protects the first stage from knocks.
- 2 high-pressure and 4 low-pressure ports.
- Compact Pro second stage in a thermoconductive technopolymer that transfers heat like metal at a much lower weight.
Technical specifications
- First stage weight: INT 650 g (22.9 oz), DIN 510 g (18 oz)
