One weekend. Five new experiences.

Start with focused preparation, then take your skills into open water with your instructor.

01 · Wednesday preparation

Pool & classroom

Attend the mandatory session on the Wednesday before your dive weekend. A short classroom briefing reviews your knowledge reviews and weekend logistics.

The 1.5-hour pool clinic covers:

  • Underwater navigation: compass skills and natural navigation.
  • DSMB deployment: using a Delayed Surface Marker Buoy.
  • Buoyancy: refining your trim and positioning.
  • Cold-water preparation: practicing all pool skills while wearing gloves.
02 · The adventure weekend

Five instructor-led dives

Meet at the shop for gear fitting and your Advanced Open Water Dive Pack, including maps and directions to the dive sites. Your instructor will brief you on the weekend’s plan.

  • Required: Deep and Underwater Navigation dives.
  • Electives: three additional adventure dives chosen by the group and instructor.
  • Small groups: a 4:1 student-to-instructor ratio for personal attention.

Included: five dives with a PADI Certified Instructor, PADI course materials and your official PADI certification card.

Check your prerequisites and prepare the equipment you need for the weekend.

Requirements & prerequisites

  • Certification: PADI Open Water Diver or a qualifying certification from another organization.
  • Age: at least 15, or 12 for Junior Advanced Open Water.
  • Recent experience: at least one logged dive in the last six months. A Refresher Course is required before the weekend if you have not dived recently.
  • Preparation: complete all five chosen knowledge reviews in the PADI manual or finish the online eLearning program.
  • Health: be in good physical health and complete the Medical Form.

Equipment & rental options

Bring full basic scuba gear and a Delayed Surface Marker Buoy (DSMB).

Full weekend rental kit$150

Two air tanks, weights, BCD, wetsuit, regulator, computer, hood and gloves.

Mask, snorkel, fins and boots are not included in the standard kit.

Fins & boots add-on$50

Available to rent for the weekend.

Budget separately for: accommodations, transportation, parking fees and food.
