Therese started scuba diving in 2021, when most of her days in lockdown were spent in Anilao, Batangas, a famous beach and dive destination in the Philippines. It was not an easy (nor fun) activity for her in the beginning as she had a fear of cramped, dark, enclosed spaces (it was so bad she dreaded riding jam-packed elevators and public transit). What got her hooked into scuba diving was learning the discipline that comes with it and understanding the risks and how to manage them. Plus, she discovered that scuba diving helped her manage her claustrophobia! 

Therese just recently earned her PADI Divemaster certification, and counts her dives in Malapascua and Cozumel as her favorites to date.
