I have been diving since 1986 and love it more now than I did then. I love—and need—the quiet, peaceful time scuba diving provides. When I am underwater, all my problems go away. The beauty of the underwater world is unparalleled.

After retiring from teaching high school, I was looking for something to fill my time. Being a Divemaster has been fun and rewarding, and working with the Scuba 2000 gang has been nothing but enjoyable.

My favourite activity as a Divemaster is Discover Scuba. I love seeing the look on people's faces the first time they take a breath underwater. I also love assisting instructors with courses and teaching DAN BLS and O2 courses.

Favourite dive site: Melissa’s Garden in the Fam Islands, Raja Ampat.

Favourite Caribbean island: Without a doubt, Curaçao. I love the people and the diving there.
