Hi I’m Derek from Toronto, Ontario, I got open water certified in Summer 2019 and have been a dive enthusiast ever since. Currently I am a dive master right here at Scuba 2000. I have a passion for local diving such as in the Great Lakes, St Lawrence River, Lake Simcoe, Muskoka and Niagara regions. I also have experience diving in South Carolina, Puerto Vallarta, Playa Del Carmen, Tulum and Cozumel. I dive back and sidemount configurations and seek to push myself deeper while gaining experience in tech and cave diving. I really enjoy guiding and showing others all the amazing underwater sites, fish and wrecks. The biggest reward is seeing the smiles after seeing or experiencing something they have never seen or done before.
