A backup second stage with an air-balanced valve, a high-visibility yellow front cover and a 1 m yellow hose.

• Lightweight casing: a fibreglass-reinforced nylon core with a PU outer layer.
• Technopolymer barrel: with a metal thread and a balanced valve, to save weight.
• Dive/pre-dive switch: prevents free flows when the octopus is not in use.
• Exhaust tee: compact and efficient, to minimize exhalation effort.
• High-visibility yellow: the front cover and the 1 m (39 in) super-flow hose are yellow, so the octopus is easy to spot.
