Overview

The second generation of Scubapro’s Hydros Pro back-inflation BCD. It adds the Monorail weight system, a heavy-duty quick-dry bladder, a lighter Ergo-Lite back plate and the Super Cinch 2 tank band, in a modular design made for travel as well as local diving. This version is fitted with Scubapro’s AIR2 in place of the balanced power inflator.

Key Features

• Monorail weight system: weight pockets slide onto a monorail and lock in place with one hand. Pull the grey D-handle to release them. Pockets are sold separately.
• Quick-dry bladder: the heavy-duty bladder with Instant Dry Technology dries almost instantly, so the BCD holds less water and weighs less after the dive, which helps when you travel.
• Built to last: a fabric-free Monprene gel harness and a double-coated fabric bladder resist abrasion and fading from pool chemicals, salt water and sunlight. Cordura fabric protects the dorsal weight wing.
• Ergo-Lite back plate: 25% lighter than the back plate of the original Hydros Pro, with a body-contoured shape, soft padding and handles at the top and bottom.
• Ergonomic fit: the 3D ergonomic shape hugs the body, and the torso flex zone adjusts to your torso length. The internal airflow design reduces air trapping, so you can deflate from any position.
• Super Cinch 2 tank band: simple to use and adjust, for quick tank changes, including between aluminum 80s and steel tanks.
• Smart-Pack design: the shoulder and waist straps fold flat against the backpack and wrap in the wing for transport and storage.
• Articulated shoulder straps: the hinges lock open for easy donning, then fold flat for packing.
• Body grip gel: helps keep the BCD from shifting or riding up during the dive.
• Tri-bungee retraction: with two-stage inflation, keeps the air cell compact under water, with even air distribution and higher lift at the surface.
• Near-neutral buoyancy: near-zero inherent buoyancy means you carry less lead.
• BC-4-Life modular design: components are interchangeable, which simplifies repairs and extends the life of the BCD.
• Multi-Mount system: D-rings and mounting points let you configure the BCD. Multi-Mount Accessory Plates and Hydros Bungee Sets are sold separately.

How to Choose the Right Size

Scubapro makes the Hydros Pro 2 in five sizes: XS, S, M, L and XL-2XL. All sizes use the same back plate length, and the torso flex zone adjusts to your torso. Bring or wear the exposure suit you dive in when you come to try one on.
