PADI Wreck Diver
Do wrecks fascinate you? Would you like to penetrate the insides of a wreck, being able to explore what mysteries may lurk on the inside? If so, then this course is right for you. Participate in a fun underwater adventure while learning safe wreck diving practices.

What you are going to learn
You will learn safety considerations for navigating and exploring wrecks. How to survey and map a wreck, then how to use penetration lines and reels to guide exploration. Also, you will learn important techniques to avoid kicking up silt or disturbing the wreck and its inhabitants.
Process
Typically we will run the course in two sections. The first being a three hour academic classroom session, followed by four Open Water dives over two days. These dives are usually done in the clear waters of Tobermory that has plenty of shipwrecks to explore.
What You’ll Need?
Prerequisites:
- Hold an Advanced Open Water Diver certification from PADI or equivalent from another recognized scuba diver training organization.
- Be 15 years or older.
Equipment:
- Beyond using basic scuba equipment, you’ll need a dive light, a slate and underwater compass for mapping and navigation, and a line and reel for practicing wreck penetration.
