PADI Underwater Navigator
Become an expert underwater navigator and be the diver everyone wants to follow! This course fine-tunes your observational skills and teaches you how to accurately use your underwater compass.
- Certified Open Water Diver
- 10 years or older
- Only requires two Open Water Dives and one short class/pool session

- Typically we run the academic and pool portion of the course on an evening weekday.Following with two check out dives on a Sunday.

What you are going to learn
You will learn how to navigate using natural clues and by following compass headings. Throughout the course you will practice methods to estimate distance underwater, compass navigation, underwater map making and more.
Process
This course involves two sections. The first being class and pool which is done here at Scuba 2000 over the duration of three hours. The second is two Open Water Dives, usually done locally completed in one day.
What You’ll Need?
Prerequisites:
- Hold an Open Water Diver certification from PADI or equivelant from another recognized scuba diver training organization.
- Be 10 years or older.
Equipment:

We provide all the equipment you will need for the first Session! – nothing to rent or buy!
For the second step – the check out dives – We offer Open Water students a rental package priced at $150 for the weekend.
This includes your two air tanks, weights, BCD, wetsuit, regulator with integrated computer, hood and gloves.
If you do not own a mask, snorkel, fin and boots, it is an extra $60 for the weekend. -
