The training process
Prepare. Practice.
Put it to work.
The weekends are one part of your training. Certification also requires the practical assessments and logged-dive requirements.

Two weekends
Refine your skills.
Four classroom and pool days, 9 AM to 5 PM. Work on demonstrations, rescue skills and dive supervision.

Practical experience
Work with divers.
Scenarios and an internship follow, with experience assisting instructors in the pool and open water.
Your completion timeline depends on your progress and practical schedule. Ask us about the next intake.
Before you begin
Ready to step up?
Send us your certifications and dive experience. We can help you identify any preparation you still need.
To start training
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Hold PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and Rescue Diver certifications, or qualifying equivalents.
- Have CPR and first aid training completed within the past 24 months.
- Have at least 40 logged dives.
- Have physician clearance for diving dated within the past 12 months.
To earn certification
Log at least 60 dives and successfully complete all required knowledge, water skills and practical assessments.
The dive count alone does not complete the course. Your instructor assesses your performance throughout training.
Bring your certification records, logbook, first aid/CPR record and medical clearance.
