Want to be a dive professional? Take the plunge into professional diving by becoming a PADI Divemaster. Once certified, you’ll be able to confidently lead groups of certified divers and assist instructors in training uncertified students.

The PADI Divemaster course is your first level of professional training. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, you’ll fine-tune your dive skills, like perfecting the effortless hover, and refine your rescue skills so you anticipate and easily solve common problems. You’ll gain dive knowledge, management and supervision abilities so you become a role model to divers everywhere.

As a PADI Divemaster, you’ll lead others as you supervise scuba diving activities and assist with diver training. Whether you want to work at a faraway dive destination or close to home at a local dive shop, the adventure of a lifetime awaits you. Process

Scuba 2000 Divemaster program is less of a course and more of an experience. You’ll be trained by seasoned instructors on how to assist students in the pool and in open water. The program consists of knowledge development and pool sessions, as well as an “internship” where you’ll get to work with students in a multitude of scenarios.
Before starting the experience you will need to complete the PADI Divemaster online program  – after your booking you will get a E learning code to start the course.
You MUST complete the e-Learning portion prior to the weekend seesions.
Followed by 2 full weekend of learning and practicing skills and scenarios with Scuba 2000’s best instructors.

What You’ll Need

Prerequisites:

 

  • Hold a Rescue Diver certification from PADI or equivalent from another recognized scuba diver training organization.
  • Must be 18 years or older at the start of the course.
  • Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care valid within last two years.
  • Logged at least 40 scuba dives to begin the course and 60 dives to earn certification.
  • Medically evaluated and cleared for diving by a physician within last 12 months.

The Scuba Gear You Use

 

  • You use all the basic scuba equipment and some scuba accessories such as a dive slate, dive knife, compass, dive watch, etc.
  • It is highly recommended that you own all of your own scuba equipment, as familiarity with personal gear improves general scuba diving skills.

Equipment:

 

  • As a dive professional, you’ll want to have all your basic scuba equipment, including a dive computer, a dive knife, and at least two surface signaling devices. During practical skills exercises, like underwater mapping and search and recovery, you’ll use a compass, floats, marker buoys, lift bags and slates. Your PADI Instructor may suggest additional gear that will be useful throughout your diving career.
