There’s something exciting and mysterious about exploring deeper sites while scuba diving. There may be shipwrecks that are deeper than the 60-foot limit imposed by your Open Water Diver certification. Marine life swim freely in the ocean, and having deep diving training gives you the freedom to go a bit further with the marine life. Other divers simply enjoy being deeper.

  • Requires Four Open Water Deep Dives 
  • Must be at least Advanced certified
  • 15 Years or older

What you are going to learn?

  • Techniques for diving up to 40 metres / 130 feet.
  • Equipment considerations for deep diving and in different water temperatures, such as higher-capacity tanks, additional safety equipment such as pony bottles with attached regulators.

Process

  • Typically we run the PADI Deep Diver Course over one weekend, with additional 3 hours  dedicated to classroom academic during an evening weekday.
  • Experience in planning, organizing, and making at least Four deep dives under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.

What You’ll Need?

Prerequisites:

  • Hold an Advanced Open Water Diver certification from PADI or equivelant from another recognized scuba diver training organization.
  • Be 15 years or older.

Equipment:

  • In addition to your scuba equipment (mask, snorkel, fins, BCD, regulator, weights, tanks, exposure suit and dive computer), you may also need the following, depending on the location where you’ll be diving:
  • Surface marker buoy and reel.
  • Underwater light.
  • Dive slates.
  • 20 cubic foot pony bottle with attached regulator.
